This is the 2004 Fender USA American Vintage 62 Telecaster Custom Electric Guitar.
25.5" scale length. 1.66" nut width. 7 lbs 4 oz.
.80"-.90" 1st to 12th fret neck depth.
With the American Vintage 62 Tele, Fender used original examples to make this as close as possible to a real 62 in terms of feel & tone.
Starting off with a light weight alder body this guitar has a great natural resonance- acoustically loud with excellent low & high end mids.
Dual American Vintage 62 single coils grab the natural tone and bring in that classic Fender vibe.
The bridge pickup here has the famous Tele cleans down pat, brilliant with darkens beautifull with the tone control.
The neck pickup runs into the 'dark circuit', where a cap on the 3-way switch engages when the neck pickup is selected.
When overdriven, the bridge pickup tightens up beautifully.
This allows you to push the gain envelope while retaining note articulation.
The neck pickup has some of the biggest warm cleans you could ever want.
Add gain and the sustain here is absolutely fantastic- thick and warm.
An absolute tone machine.
The maple neck here is .86" deep at the 5th fret with a C profile.
This gives enough meat for solid tone transfer while remaining comfortable.
The 7.25" fretboard radius enables you to really squeeze those bends for all they're worth while providing comfortable chording. The look here is beautiful- 3-tone sunburst finish, double bound body, 3 saddle bridge, 3 ply guard, Deluxe style machines, and chrome hardware.
This Tele is in good overall condition as you can see in pictures- typical chips and marks from age and use, as well as a dented neck pickup cover, but nothing that affects the performance whatsoever.
The frets here are clean- just professionally set up with action of 3/32" at the 12th fret low E.
