Welcome to All Music Inc! Right now, you are looking at an incredibly cool and rare vintage guitar.
This is a vintage 1977 Gibson Les Paul Artisan 3-Pickup Electric Guitar.
It weighs 11 lbs 1 oz, 24.75" scale length. 1.69" nut width.
.76"-.95" 1st to 12th fret neck depth.
The Artisan was an amazing incarnation of the Les Paul, standing above the Custom, Standard, etc. and advertised as a limited-edition model.
You can tell right away with its unique pre-war headstock design and heart/floral pearl inlays adorning the ebony fingerboard.
Featuring a carved maple top, sitting on a mahogany body, with a set mahogany neck.
The heavier weight results in excellent tone transfer, and the incredibly focused midrange that Gibson's famous for.
Grabbing up all this incredible natural tone are a trio of Gibson humbuckers!
The neck/middle are tar-back Series VII pickups, and the bridge was replaced with a newer Gibson USA pickup.
All the thick, syrupy, juicy sustain you could ever want.
The 3-pickup configuration adds so much versatility, it makes this Artisan a true tone machine.
The neck has a comfortable oval C profile .76"-.95" 1st to 12th fret neck depth.
Combine that with the 12" ebony fingerboard radius, and you have a truly exceptional player.
These were shipped with Gibson's TP-6 fine tuner bridge, which was replaced with a stopbar/tune-o-matic at some point in its life.
This Artisan is in good overall condition, especially considering its age.
Just setup, the neck is straight, and the frets are clean.
Tons of vintage mojo here! All the normal playwear- marks/scratches, buckle-rash, dings/dents, finish/polish swirls, and binding discoloration.
Please carefully look through all of our detailed photos for a better visual description.
It includes a period-correct vintage Gibson case shown in the photos.
All pots date to 1977.
It does not show its original nibs, so we can only be lead to believe it was re-fretted at some point.
Don't miss out on a piece of Gibson history with this '77 Les Paul Artisan.
