This is an exciting vintage piece. This is the 60's Gibson Kalamazoo Richard Pick C-6 Artist Model. 25.25" scale. 2.04" nut width. 14.25" bottom bout. 4" deep. Interior #: 10901. Serial #: 500660. The C-6 is a very rare Gibson, highly sought after by colectors and players alike. The C-6 was the Richard Pick Artist model. I've seen a couple of C-6's online in the past, but nothing that even comes close to the gorgeous rosewood here. Featuring a spruce top and a gorgeous solid rosewood back/sides, the C-6 has a warmth and clarity rarely found- the presence and projection here are astounding. The bass strings have depth while retaining note value while the treble strings have slightly rounded highs. This makes the C-6 the perfect choice for solo or band performance. The tone here would sit well in a mix but definitely stands on its own. A real performer. The mahogany neck here has that fantastic flat C profile. .80" thick at the 5th fret, this has a fast feel with enough mass to add to the overall tone. The look here is just incredible- gorgeous bookmatched rosewood back, rosewood rosette, full tortoise body binding, and gold hardware. Excellent condition- there is the typical finish checking and a few small marks- nothing that affects the tone or playability whatsoever. A bit of buzz on the first 5 frets and a reglued nut which raised the zero fret slightly on the bass side(most likely the reason for the buzz). The frets are clean- professionally setup with action of just 3/32" at the 12th fret low E. Includes the hardshell case in pics. This is your chance to get your hands on one of the most collectible Gibson classical's of all time- the Richard Pick Artist C-6. We have been an authorized Gibson dealer for well over a decade.
