Used Vintage 1983 Gibson USA Futura Neck-Through Electric Guitar Tarback Pickups
*Feel free to make a reasonable offer*
Welcome, you are looking at a great piece.
This is the Vintage 1983 Gibson USA Futura Electric Guitar.
24.75" scale length. 1.69" nut width. 6 lbs 7 oz.
.74"-.91" 1st to 12th fret neck depth.
The Futura was produced for only a few years in the early 80's.
A rare and very cool piece of Gibson history.
This Futura features a mahogany body and through maple neck.
This design, combined with the light weight, results in a very resonant instrument with good sustain.
Grabbing up that tone are a pair of Gibson 'Tarback' humbuckers.
Their output falls in the 'PAF' range- for exceptional overdrives and syrupy neck sustains.
The neck here has a thin C profile- .74"-.91" 1st to 12th frets.
Combine that with the 12" ebony fingerboard radius, and you have a fantastic player.
The look here is fantastic- pearl white finish (aged to a yellow hue), 3 ply black pickguard, and gold hardware.
This Futura is in good overall condition- there is the typical wear you expect on a guitar nearing its 40th birthday- small chips and finish crazing.
Nothing that affects the performance.
The frets here are clean- set up with action of 3/32" at the 12th fret low E.
This auction includes the padded gig bag in pics.
This is your chance to get your hands on a beautiful rarity from 1980's Gibson USA.
