This is the 1986 Ibanez Japan RB690 Black Fade 4-String Electric Bass Guitar.
34" scale length. 1.57" nut width. 8 lbs 6 oz.
.84"-.96" 1st to 12th fret neck depth.
The Ibanez RB690 was made for one year only, needless to say these are pretty rare.
The iconic Black Fade Roadstar bass body, with its contours and compact feel, is carved from basswood for a stellar resonance and warm, woody tone.
This is taken up a notch by the Accu-Cast B II high mass bridge (19mm string spacing).
The fantastic tone is captured by a pair of J50 'Jazz' pickups.
These killer pickups were developed to produce a stronger signal with increased high frequency response while retaining all the low end power.
These run into a 9v active circuit with a 2-band EQ.
This gives you access to a large number of sweet bass tones.
The hallmark of the Ibanez basses has always been their super-playable necks, and the RB690 features a 1-piece maple and rosewood construction for excellent strength and stability with enhanced sustain.
This Ibanez is in good +/- overall condition as you can see in pics- typical marks and wear for a bass nearing its 40th birthday.
The frets here are clean- set up with action of just above 3/32" at the 12th fret low E.
