Welcome. You are looking at a great piece. This is the Vintage 1983 Gibson USA Korina Moderne Heritage Electric Guitar. 24.75" scale length. 1.69" nut width. .85" 5th fret depth. 7 lbs even.
In 1983 Gibson 'reissued' a limited number of the elusive 1958 Moderne, which was drawn up in the Gibson factory but few have ever seen.
The Heritage was slated for a build of 500 pieces, but only 143 were produced. That makes this beauty a very rare guitar.
The legendary Moderne body is a made of wonderfully grained Korina, that is super light-weight and resonant.
A black pickguard sits atop the ocean of Korina, creating a beautiful visual contrast.
The korina tonewood produces a full and sprite voice, with complex overtones and harmonics.
This amazing tone is captured by a pair of gold Gibson patent etched Shaw era humbuckers.
These pickups deliver the best in what Gibson tone is.
The bridge position has the complex mids of a PAF with that famous Gibson bite while the Korina adds in a full 'body' to the overall tone.
The neck position is fantastic with syrupy mids while retaining note value.
An absolute tone machine.
The 1-piece Korina neck is a vintage dream. It is perfectly comfortable, with a thin 80's rounded profile.
The 22-fret rosewood fretboard has a super-playable 12" radius and is adorned with classic dot inlays. Kluson Vintage Style Tuners and raised gold Gibson logo finish the futuristic, yet vintage look.
This collectible Gibson Moderne comes in its original plush pink fur lined brown hardshell case with its original warranty card.
The case handle shattered at some point but is included inside the case.
This Moderne is in excellent overall condition- typical light compressions and light play wear.
The frets are clean- set up with action of 3/32" at the 12th fret low E.
This is your chance to own a true piece of Gibson Guitar history.
