Welcome, you are looking at a great piece.
This is the 1988 Gibson Les Paul Standard Cherry Sunburst Electric Guitar
24.75" scale length. 1.69" nut width. 9 lbs 10 oz.
.83"-.95" 1st to 12th fret neck depth.
The Les Paul has been a large part of music since its 1950s inception.
In 1988, following the release of GNR's first album, the Les Paul Standard started becoming the main guitar in Mtv videos.
This Les Paul starts off with the time/tone tested mahogany and maple combination.
The heavier weight creates fantastic midrange push for the quintessential 'Les Paul' tone.
Grabbing up that natural tone are a pair of first-year Bill Lawrence 'Circuit Board' humbuckers.
The bridge pickup measures 13.19k and the neck measures 7.05k.
The Lawrence pickups enable huge push off the bridge pickup to drive your tube amp into saturation, while the neck pickup retains the sweet thick sustain Gibby lovers look for.
Very cool.
The set mahogany neck here features the 60s profile for the ultimate in comfort while retaining enough mass for great tone transfer.
The rosewood board's 12" radius makes for a bender's dream.
The look here is fantastic- cherry sunburst showing off the maple top, single ply cream body and fingerboard binding, trapezoid inlays, and chrome hardware.
The Gibson is in almost time machine condition as you can see in pictures- typical small scratches and marks from normal use.
The frets here are clean- set up with action of 3/32" at the 12th fret low E.
This Les Paul includes the original 'chainsaw' case.
This is your chance to add a real beauty to your guitar collection.
Buy with confidence.
