EKO has a long history of building exceptional guitars.
This Marco Polo has a solid Italian spruce top and Ovangkol back/sides.
This wood pairing, aside from being absolutely gorgeous, sets up a fantastic tone that is very balanced- resonant and warm with exceptional note articulation.
The Fishman Blend system here sends that natural tone to the amplifier and also offers some nice tonal features.
There are 3 controls here Volume, Tone, and Blend, as well as an onboard chromatic tuner.
The Blend balances between 2 pickups- an electret microphone and saddle transducer.
You can change the angle of the mic, offering a number of tones.
The Tone knob pushes in to engage Phase reverse and the Volume control pushes to engage the tuner.
There are a world of sounds available here.
The mahogany neck here has an oval C profile with a comfortable feel.
South American Roupana fingerboard with side dots only.
This neck is thin enough for comfort, with enough mass for good tone transfer.
The look here is beautiful- natural finish showing off the ovangkol figuring, natural wood body binding, abalone rosette with an inner ring of the word 'Traveler' in every language, and gold hardware.
