Electro-Harmonix made this pedal specifically as a more affordable alternative to the famous Klon Centaur! This overdrive pedal works great in a few ways. As a clean boost, it does very well. The boosted power rails in this pedal allow for great headroom. As an overdrive/distortion, it has a very cool natural, uncompressed sound to it. Again, the increased headroom offers great transparency and clarity to the notes you play. The bypass is selectable between true bypass and buffered bypass. It even comes with the power supply although it can be powered by a 9V battery as well. This is an incredible overdrive that offers players plenty of overdrive tone options.
