Fender MIM Offset Mustang Maple Neck Electric Guitar - Olympic White
Welcome, you are looking at a great piece. This is the Fender Offset Mustang electric guitar. 24" scale length. 1.65" nut width. .86 depth at 5th fret. 7lbs 1oz.
The Mustang has become an icon since its introduction in 1964. Initially a student model with shorter scale, these guitars have become legendary in the world of alt rock, country, and indie artists.
The resonant alder body is cut to the famous offset Mustang shape and covered in legendary Olympic White. Thanks to the slightly smaller body size the Mustang is vibrant and lively, and supremely comfortable for live performance.
Sitting in the aged white pearloid pickguard are two low-output Mustang Single-Coils. Because of the output level these pickups deliver that unique Mustang tone that is balanced from string to string, with bell-like upper harmonics, punchy mids, and thick lows. These single-coils work wonderfully with stomp boxes and fuzzes because they retain the inherent sound of the boxes without added clipping.
The maple neck is a player's dream. The short 24" scale makes for extremely comfortable fingering and a low string tension. This is the perfect guitar for those who play extended chord forms. The neck has a natural "C" profile and is finished in a satin polyurethane for a slick and fast touch. The maple fretboard has 22 medium jumbo frets and a 9.5" radius for classic feel and playability.
This new Mustang has a string-thru-body hardtail bridge. These bridges are known for their ability to augment sustain and increase vibrational tone transfer thanks to the string angle break and downward pressure. And with six individual saddles you can tweak in perfect intonation.
