Welcome, you are looking at a great piece.
This is the 1999 Gibson USA Les Paul Custom Elegant Gold Flow Electric Guitar.
24.75" scale length. 1.69" nut width. 8 lbs 11 oz.
.80"-.97" 1st to 12th fret neck depth.
This is a rare Gibson Custom example- while authenticating this with Gibson they couldn't give us an exact number of the Gold Flows that were produced, only that they were very limited production.
Personally I can't find another example.
Rarity aside, this Custom Shop is a tone monster.
This Les Paul starts off with the time/tone-tested combination of mahogany and maple.
The body is chambered for a lighter weight, which also adds in some really nice resonance.
A great balance between resonance and Les Paul mid push.
Dual 57 Classic humbuckers grab that natural tone and add in their sought-after 'PAF' sounds.
The bridge pickup measures at 8.08k ohms, the neck meters at 8.01k ohms.
These pickups are very well matched in output and provide exceptional crunch and sustains.
This is an absolute tone machine.
The neck here has a comfortable oval C profile- .80"-.97" 1st to 12th fret neck depth.
Combine that with the 12" ebony fingerboard radius, and you have a exceptional player.
The look here is classic- Gold Flow top black back finish, single bound body, bound fingerboard, stunning abalone trapezoid inlays, and nickel hardware.
This Custom is in very overall condition- there are the polish swirls, binding shrinking, and metal oxidation you expect, but nothing that affects the performance whatsoever.
The frets here are clean- set up with action of 3/32" at the 12th fret low E.
This auction includes the original hardshell case in pics.
This is your chance to get your hands on a super rare Custom example.
We were a Gibson dealer for well over a decade.
Buy with confidence.
