Welcome, you are looking at a great piece.
This is the Silvertone Classic 1478-RSB Red Sunburst Electric Guitar.
24" scale length. 1.69" nut width. 8 lbs 3 oz.
.82"-.94" 1st to 12th fret neck depth.
The Silvertone 1478 was released back in 1963 and the offset double cutaway bady, with its Jaguar-esque silhouette, became another of the electric guitar's icons.
This modern reissue holds true to the look and vibe of those early models, but has included some modern upgrades for today's player. The mahogany body has a maple top for that tried and true combination of maple on mahogany for a complex and complete tone, with full bass and articulate hi-end.
This tone-filled body is bathed in a deep and rich Red Burst with Silver Flake for a very retro-space-age-George-Jetson look. Superbly vintage.
This guitar has excellent natural sustain and acoustic projection, but quite simply jumps to life when fed to an amp.
The amazing Silvertone Single Coil pickups are wound to the original specifications for truly authentic vintage colors and tones. The engineers at Silvertone deconstructed the originals to duplicate the wire, windings, magnets, and materials as closely as possible.
These articulate and full pickups can handle anything from clean country, warm jazz, fuzzy blues, and roaring rock.
And each pickup gets its own volume and tone for precise sonic adjustments.
The mahogany neck has a modern C profile for superior comfort and the rosewood board has 20 nickel frets for fast and accurate play.
The bound fretboard is adorned with block inlays for a very elegant stance, and the genuine Bigsby tremolo tailpiece offers that legendary smooth vibrato.
The Silvertone 1478 Reissue Electric Guitar is a wonderful instrument, with vintage vibe and visage, but with modern day playability and quality.
