Welcome, you are looking at a great piece.
This is the Vintage 1964 Silvertone Classic 1478 Electric Guitar.
24" scale length. 1.69" nut width. 6 lbs 12 oz.
.90"-.95" 1st to 12th fret neck depth.
This Silvertone 1478 was made in 1964 and the offset double cutaway bady, with its Jaguar-esque silhouette, became another of the electric guitar's icons.
This tone-filled body is bathed in a deep and rich Red Sunurst.
Superbly vintage.
This guitar has good natural sustain and acoustic projection, but quite simply jumps to life when fed to an amp.
The amazing DeArmond single coil pickups have those truly authentic vintage colors and tones.
These articulate and full pickups can handle anything from clean country, warm jazz, fuzzy blues, as well as a bit of overdrive.
And each pickup gets its own volume and tone controls for precise sonic adjustments.
The maple neck has a modern C profile for superior comfort and the bound rosewood board has 20 frets and block inlays.
This Silvertone is in good +/- overall condition as you can see in pictures- many marks/scratches/chips, but nothing that affects the performance.
Missing the tremolo bar.
The frets here are in good condition, set up with action of just about 3/32" at the 12th fret low E.
This 1964 Silvertone 1478 is a wonderful instrument with vintage tones on tap.
Don't pass this by.
