Gibson

$ 3,999.95

Welcome, you are looking at a great piece.
This is the Vintage 1971 Gibson USA SG Standard Walnut Electric Guitar.
24.75" scale. 1.58" nut. 7 lbs even.
.85"-1.07" 1st to 12th fret neck depth.
We obtained this SG from the original owner.
The serial here goes to the early 70s and the pots date to 1971.
The SG is a staple of rock guitar- originally introduced under the Les Paul name, player response led to it becoming its own model. This SG is a monster tone machine.
The mahogany here has aged nicely- combined with the the light 7 lb weight, this guitar has a sweet, warm, natural resonance- loud even unplugged.
Plugging in you access the Patent Number Sticker humbuckers- 7.65k (B) and 7.54k (N).
The pickups here are very balanced- a perfect marriage.
This enables sweet bridge crunch and syrupy neck sustains.
There are some fantastic classic tones here.
The mahogany neck here has a fantastic feel- .90" deep at the 5th fret with an oval C profile.
The '50s' neck depth combined with the narrow width of a 60's provides the best of both worlds- mass for tone transfer and a comfortable hand feel.
The icing on the cake is the Gibson Vibrola (replacement trem bar), which adds resonance due to the mass.
The look here is beautiful- Walnut finish, 4 ply guard, bound fingerboard, trapezoid inlays, and chrome hardware.
This SG is in good condition- there are the chips, marks, and finish crazing you expect on a guitar of this vintage.
All aesthetic- nothing that affects the performance.
The frets here are original and have worn down with string divots where you expect them, but the guitar plays well.
This auction includes the hardshell case in pics.
This is your chance to get your hands on a fantastic classic Gibson in player condition.
We were an authorized Gibson dealer for well over a decade.
Buy with confidence.
