Welcome, you are looking at a really cool piece.
This is the Vintage 1978 Guild Westerly D55-NT Acoustic Guitar.
25.5" scale. 1.69" nut width. 15-7/8" bottom bout. 4.-7/8" deep.
.83"-1.05" 1st to 10th fret neck depth.
Guild has been building fantastic guitars since 1953- and their Westerly acoustics are held in very high regard.
Guild pulled out all the stops with this D55.
This D55 features a bookmatched back solid Indian Rosewood body, solid spruce top, and a set mahogany neck.
These woods have aged beautifully over the past nearly 50 years, blessing us with an exceptional instrument.
This brings sweet deep lows and full highs to the table- a true work of art.
The mahogany neck here has a comfortable oval C profile.
The look here is beautiful- natural gloss finish showing off the beautiful rosewood grains, multi-ply bound body, checkered back purfling, bound fingerboard with purfling, bound headstock, ring rosette, large black guard, block inlays, and gold tuning machines.
This Guild is in very good overall condition as you can see in pictures, especially for its age- small marks from normal use and the typical finish hairline between the bridge and guard.
The frets are clean- set up with action of 7/64" at the 12th fret low E.
This includes the original Guild hardshell case.
This is your chance to get your hands on a gorgeous vintage Guild example.
Don't pass this by!
