Vintage Early 1970's Ovation USA Breadwinner Deacon Electric Guitar w/ OHSC

$ 1,899.95

Welcome, you are looking at a great piece.
This is the Vintage Ovation USA Breadwinner Deacon Electric Guitar.
24.75" scale. 1.69" nut width. 8 lbs 4 oz.
The 'E' serial here places this guitar between 1973 and 1975.
The Ovation Breadwinner body design is instantly recognizable- seen all across Mtv and on stages in the early 80's.
This Deacon features a mahogany body and neck.
This wood choice, combined with the medium light weight and high mass bridge, enables a good balance between midrange push and natural resonance.
Grabbing up that tone are dual humbucker pickups.
These are slightly smaller than standard humbuckers, and have that great mini-hum note articulation.
These run into an interesting circuit- a bass/treble tone knob (think TBX) and a 2 way tone filter switch.
Combined with the 3 way switch, there are a lot of tones available here.
Very cool.
The mahogany neck has a thin flat C profile- .73"-.84" 1st to 12 fret neck depth.
Combine that with the 14" radius on the ebony board and you have a fantastic player.
The look here is gorgeous- trans red finish, 2 ply black guard, bound ebony board, diamond inlays, brass saddles, and chrome hardware.
This Deacon is in good overall condition- there is damage on the side of the neck (pic), as well as many marks, chips, etc (examples in pics).
Nothing that affects the performance.
The frets here are clean- set up with action of 3/32" at the 12th fret low E.
This auction includes the original hardshell case in pics.
This is your chance to get your hands on a great Ovation USA vintage example.
Don't pass this by!
