Welcome, you are looking at a great piece.
This is the Martin HD-28 Dreadnought Antique Natural Acoustic Guitar.
25.4" scale. 1.75" nut width. 15-5/8" lower bout. 4-5/8" body depth.
.84"-.90" 1st to 10th fret neck depth.
The Martin HD-28 Herringbone is quite simply the definition of what a dreadnought guitar is, how it looks, and how it should sound.
The image is iconic: the premium Sitka spruce top glowing in the tinted natural finish, the herringbone pattern framing that top, the rosette, the tortoise teardrop pickguard.
The perfect example of a timeless dreadnought.
The rosewood back and sides are deeply ribboned, and the back is split by the legendary pre-war 28-style "zipper" purfling.
The tone and projection of the HD-28 is world-renowned.
It is a result of the fine tone woods used in the HD-28, and Martin's famous forward X-bracing that allows the top to vibrate more freely for a louder, more open tone.
Fingerpicked tones are piano-like in their fullness and balance.
Strummed chords are room-engulfing with superb articulation.
And single note runs are even, balanced, warm, and perfectly acoustic.
The mahogany neck feels vintage and comfortable- .87" deep at the 5th fret with a Modified Low Oval profile, and the ebony fretboard is deep, dark, and beautiful.
This is your chance to get your hands on a fantastic Martin USA acoustic- the Herringbone Dreadnought HD28: a true piece of guitar history.
This auction includes the original Martin hardshell case.
