Welcome to All Music Inc's Musicdungeon.
Right now, you are looking at an incredibly rare and cool vintage Strat.
This is a 1983 Fender Dan Smith Stratocaster Sienna Sunburst Electric Guitar.
It weighs 7 lbs 12 oz, 25.5" scale, 1.69" nut width.
.80" to .84" 1st-12th fret neck depth, soft 'V' profile.
In an effort to improve Fender's market position, Dan Smith headed up revamping the basic production. Strat.
By late '81, the new Standard Strat was introduced.
A more accurate version of the pre-CBS smaller headstock, 4-bolt neck plate, a somewhat hotter X-1 pickup in the bridge.
This was produce until 1983, when it was significantly revised by putting the input jack on the pickguard flush with the body, and offering only one volume and one tone.
Here is an incredible example "case queen".
The guitar's weight enables a nice balance between natural resonance and midrange push.
Classic Fender combo alder/bolted maple neck & fingerboard are the precursors for the quintessential Fender tone.
This guitar is in near mint condition as could be for being 42 years old.
Just setup, the neck is set to optimal playing relief, and the frets are clean.
It includes its original case which is in fair condition (being held together with duct tape on the hinges) but still protects it.
It also includes its proprietary trem arm.
Only made for a few years, these models models are becoming rarer and rarer to find.
Buy with confidence.
