This Charvel features a light weight basswood body with an ash top- this enables a balanced eq with a good high end midrange push.
Grabbing up that tone are a trio of Charvel Custom pickups, wound to Guthrie's specs.
These pickups are voiced for a great balance between high output and note articulation- big crunch, searing leads, warm neck comps/sustain, and sweet cleans.
These are controlled by the custom 5-Position blade: Position 1. Full Bridge Pickup, Position 2. Bridge Inner Coil and Middle Pickup, Position 3. Bridge Outer Coil and Neck Outer Coil, Position 4. Middle and Neck Outer Coil, Position 5. Full Neck Pickup.
The mini switch splits the bridge and neck humbuckers to single coils, enabling an entirely different tone palette.
