Welcome to All Music Inc!
Right now, you are looking at arguably the greatest tenor sax ever manufactured.
This is a 1966 Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone.
ALL ORIGINAL - ONE OWNER !!
The serial is 135xxx dating this to 1966.
It's very rare to come across a horn from Selmer's golden era, let alone one that's all original.
The all original lacquer is in great condition, exhibiting appropriate signs of wear you'd expect from a 60 year old horn.
The action is wonderful, and the keys are tight.
The body is straight, and the neck is original to the horn as well.
The best thing about this horn is its tone.
It's rich, throaty, and very powerful.
It's expressive on so many levels - the intonation is spot on, and it speaks clearly through all the registers.
If you're playing R&B or Funk, this horn can growl and cut through with amazing presence.
If you pull it back, you'll get that smooth silky tone that every Jazz player is looking for.
A truly incredibly versatile saxophone.
It's in excellent overall condition, considering it's near 60 years old.
Normal play wear, some lacquer wear, scuffs, marks/scratches.
Please carefully look through all of our detailed photos for a better visual description.
It includes its original case, which as you can see in the photos is also in excellent condition for its age.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own that 'needle in a haystack' horn that will keep you playing for a lifetime.
Don't pass this by.
