This top is married to a body of AAA Australian Blackwood, a cousin of Koa but with more dramatic color and grain.
This Angel is made using Cole Clark's method of internally carving the top and back for tone and stability.
The stellar artistry of this guitar is exemplified in the outstanding abalone inlays and natural wood bindings, creating a piece that is at once custom-shop collectible and classically timeless.
The redwood and blackwood combine to create a complex harmonic voice with brilliant top end and controlled bass response.
Combine that with a thin satin nitro finish and the Angel has an open and woody tone, with excellent projection and note articulation.
When taking to the stage or the studio this AN3EC is equipped with the Cole Clark Preamp system featuring a face sensor, internal mic, bridge pickup, and back sensor plus a 3-band EQ for the perfect amplified acoustic balance.
The super-playable neck is Queensland maple, and the She-Oak fingerboard is adorned with neo-deco oversized abalone ovals.
