This is a D'Angelico Bob Weir Signature Deluxe SS Electric Guitar Prototype!
It weighs 7 lbs 13 oz, 25" scale, 1.69" nut width
As rare as rare and unique as can be, just like Bob's playing.
This is THE prototype guitar that birthed the extremely Limited Edition 1/35 numbered/signed series guitars.
D'Angelico President of Sales/Limited Partner Steve Pisani had the absolute honor of co-designing this guitar with the guitar legend  himself.
During many design meetings in the showroom of D'Angelico NY, Bobby and Steve meticulously discussed his playing style and preferences, which guided this guitars specs.
Bob favored the 1.69" nut width and medium jumbo frets to accommodate his advanced chord voicings and hybrid picking techniques.
Seymour Duncan DA-59 pickups were selected to provide tonal flexibility as well as push/pull tone knobs for coil tapping offering so many sonic options.
A Master Volume knob was added for easy level control during live performances.
A significant design feature Bob requested was the addition of a traditional Bigsby B-50 vibrato tailpiece.
This build also features a full center block for enhanced resonance and sustain.
Grover Imperial locking tuners for reliable tuning stability.
Finalized with gold hardware that compliments the unique Matte Stone finish, all approved by Weir.
Another beautiful touch is the custom D'Angelico art deco Bob Weir engraved signature truss rod cover.
Steve quotes "Designing this guitar alongside a rock legend was a professional highlight I will always cherish. Having spent my career in the guitar industry, working so intimately with Bob Weir on every detail was an unforgettable journey".

This Prototype guitar was kept in its case since 2017 NAMM, where it won the "Product Of The Year Award"!!!
