The Wildkat combines some great guitar concepts into one instrument, resulting in a versatile example with a lot of great tones inside.
This Wildkat starts off with a semi-hollow mahogany body capped by flame maple.
The time/tone tested combo of mahogany and maple has been the starting point for thousands of classic guitar tones.
You get all of the warmth and midrange from the body with the top providing nice note articulation.
Dual Alnico P90 pickups provide everything from crisp bridge sounds to warm neck cleans.
Add overdrive to these Alnico beauties and they open right up with complex mids and the growl/depth you'll only find with a P90.
The set maple neck here is very comfortable- oval C profile and 12" fretboard radius.
The icing on the cake is the Bigsby tremolo- smooth travel for classic pitch manipulations while the mass of the tailpiece adds to the overall tone.
The look here is beautiful- the Antique Natural finish really lets the flamed top shine.
Add to that the body/fingerboard binding, Grover machines, dot inlays, and gold hardware, and you have a work of art.
This Epi is in very good overall condition as you can see in pictures- typical light wear from normal use.
The frets here are clean- setup with action just 3/32" at the 12th fret low E.
There is no case included but we pack for safe arrival as well as insure in full.
