Welcome, you are looking at a great piece.
This is the Fender '59 Bassman LTD Tweed Tube Guitar Amplifier.
The Fender Bassman Amp. 45 Watts. Four 10' speakers.
Possibly the most sought after tone in rock, country, and blues history.
It was even the genetic model for a British amp builder and his stackables.
Originally released as a bass amp for players in the 1950's with enough power, at 45 watts, to compete with the volume of the large instrumentation of the day.
However, by the 60s guitarists realized just how great a loud electric guitar sounded, and just how great this all-tube combo was at making that sound.
With original 1959 Bassman's demanding as much as used cars, Fender released a reissue of this legendary amplifier.
Visually it's spot-on, covered in genuine lacquered-tweed and faced with a striped oxblood grille cloth.
Electronically (ya know... the magic) this vintage reissue is an all-tube workhorse with with two 6L6's at the power end, an original-spec 5AR4 Rectifier tube for natural compression with harder attacks, and three 12AX7s in the pre.
All that tone is broadcast stage wide through four 10" Jensen P-10R speakers.
The voice of this Bassman is anything you want because it has a wonderful way of epitomizing the inherent tones of whatever guitar your playing, and through whatever effects.
A Strat straight into it, with the gain right at the edge of feedback, is iconically different then a Les Paul or even a Tele at the same amp settings.
That makes this amp just perfect for finding one's signature tone: that elusively identifiable voice that is yours only.
Stomp boxes sound better.
Wah pedals sound better.
My fingers sound better through this box.
There really is a reason that the Fender Bassman is so desirable: it simply ROCKS.
The condition of this Fender '59 Bassman LTD is good- there are the typical marks you expect and a warped back panel, but nothing that effects performance or the heavenly tone of this amp.
This is your chance to get your hands on a true classic.
We are an authorized Fender dealer.
Buy with confidence.
Don't pass it by!
