This is the 1991 Fender USA Strat Plus Blue Pearl Dust Electric Guitar.
25.5" scale length. 1.69" nut width. 8 lbs 6 oz.
.81"-.89" 1st to 12th fret neck depth.
The Fender Stratocaster has been a staple in the guitar world since its introduction in the 1950's.
The Strat Plus encompassed the best of everything the Strat had to offer.
The alder body here is very balanced tonally- the medium/light weight here adds great natural resonance while retaining midrange push- the perfect platform for the pickups.
The pickups and electronics here are special- a trio of Lace Sensor Gold single coils and the famous TBX control.
With this setup, Fender put a lot of tonal control in the player's hands.
The maple neck here offers excellent tone transfer- resulting in a very responsive Strat.
The neck has a thin feel- .85" deep at the 5th fret with an oval C profile.
Add to that the 9.5" maple fretboard radius and you have a fantastic feel.
The icing on the cake is the 2-point tremolo- this trem combined with the roller nut, locking machines, and Tremsetter keep everything in tune.
The look here is gorgeous- Blue Pearl Dust finish, 3 ply guard, black dots, and chrome/silver hardware.
The condition of this Strat Plus is good overall- moderate finish scratching (examples in pics), guard scatches, and oxidation on the metal.
