This is a D'Angelico Deluxe Prototype 12/6 Doubleneck Electric Guitar.
It weighs 13 lbs 6 oz, 24.75" scale, 1.78" 12 string nut width, 1.68" 6 string nut width.
As rare as rare can be - D'Angelico Deluxe Series Doubleneck.
Mahogany body with two set mahogany necks. Capped with an insanely gorgeous flamed maple top bathed in a Honeyburst finish.
Just as incredible as it looks, it plays and sounds even better!
Extremely well balanced, you have all the bottom end, mid-range crunch, sustain, brightness, and single note articulation.
Featuring custom Gold imperial locking tuners.
What's even cooler are the custom wound Duncan's!
Grabbing up all this tonal goodness are a quad quad of Seymour Duncan DA-59 Bridge Humbuckers.
These are 'tweaked' versions of the SH-1 '59 made exclusively for D'Angelico.
They run a bit hotter- the 6 string neck/bridge both measure 8.89k, and the 12 string neck measures 8.59k, and the bridge 8.70k.
And the best part - coil taps! You can split the bridge in each position. SO MANY TONAL OPTIONS!
This guitar was never sold. It was given to a D'Angelico representative.
There is some extremely light playwear here - marks/scratches. Nothing at all that effects the tone or playability.
